Hello, readers.
Yesterday, I posted an article of encouragement and various ways to help the…
Jacksonville Landing at an Angle. Altered photography/graphic design. 2013.
The photograph is one I shot with a GE digital camera in 2011. The alterations were done in Photoshop CS6. This is called a tilt-shift effect.
“jigjag”. Graphic art. 2010.
I literally came upon this design as an unexpected result. The method I used (using Photoshop CS4) was intentional, but the result was not what I was thinking it would be. Which turned out fine for me. I completely altered a photograph (it is literally unrecognizable from the original) and also added color where it was once black and white. I made sure to think up an odd combination of color (remembering my color theory teachings, of course). I also enhanced the tones, tints and highlights to add extreme depth. This is actually one of my favorite graphic pieces. I titled it “jigjag” because it is, well, looking really jagged and pointy.
When I was finished, it made me think of a swirling mountain range seen from aerial view. It made me think of Lord of the Rings. I did not try to create a mountain range, but it looks like one. I think it looks like one an Ork would mess around on…
Fashion design. Graphite on paper. 2008.
This is one of many designs I created some years back. Not sure if I will ever get them produced in actuality, but that would be a nice thing if I do. Fashion is yet another realm of art and one can go above and beyond in terms of imagination. Look at Alexander McQueen (rest in peace) for example. Or Christian Siriano from Project Runway fame. There is barely a limit…
I haven’t drawn fashion designs in a while, but when I was my inspirations were Renaissance & Victorian elements, attention to rich detailing and materials. Everything very fitted and clean.
